After completing his doctoral dissertation on distances in random tries via analytic probability at The George Washington University, Professor Christophi joined the SPHHS research faculty in 2004, and now serves as a statistician on the NIH's Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). He previously investigated the distribution of a multiplicative risk function for the Environmental Protection Agency and served as a special volunteer with the Biometry Research Group for the National Cancer Institute, researching selection bias.
A native of Cyprus, Dr. Christophi is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, an avid soccer player, and has a listing in Who's Who in America.

Research
Professor Christophi's primary research interests are clinical trials and the probabilistic analysis of algorithms. His recent statistical work with DPP has focused on gestational diabetes, the ankle-brachial index, and diabetic retinopathy.
