RESEARCH
he Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is committed to nurture excellence in education and research. The research programs in the department span from the nuclear receptor coregulators, chromatin remodeling, DNA repair, growth regulation, cellular hepatobiology and virology, cancer, autism, vascular biology, and genomics.
The department is also home of the Genomic Core, the McCormick Genomic Center, and the Institute of Coregulator Biology. In the coming years, the department will continue to particularly strengthening the areas of signaling, post-translational modifications, protein-protein interactions, and transcription controls.
